Gravitation is possibly the first and most popular yaoi series of all time. Written and drawn by Maki Murakami, it details the life of a young man named Shuichi who aspires to be a rock star like his idol, Ryuichi Sakuma of Nittle Grasper. Along the way, he encounters the mysterious bestselling novelist Yuki Eiri, who he falls desperately in love with. But does Yuki truly love him? What secrets does he hide? Yes, Gravitation is a yaoi anime series, which means it deals with shounen ai / boy x boy love. If you're not very comfortable at the thought of homosexuality, it would be best that you go somewhere else. The Gravitation series, save for a few suggestive scenes (Yuki in a thong! Yuki in a thong!), is primairly shounen-ai, which means no actual sex scenes occur in the series, only implied. Gravitation: Remixes on the other hand, is another story.

Doujinshi are manga created by fans. While the doujinshi usually tackle several existing anime / manga series, the doujinshi does not have a tie-in with any of the actual storylines in the official series.

Gravitation: Remixes was also created by Maki Murakami, but this is acknowledged as the official doujinshi, and was created in tandem with Crocodile-Ave. Though created by the same person who made Gravitation, this is considered doujinshi because it offers an alternate storyline to Gravitation.... well, it doesn't really have a lot of plot to speak of, but still. Contrary to the Gravitation series, the Gravitation Remixes are composed entirely of SMUT, SMUT, and by the way, SMUT. XD There is absolutely no story here - everything rabid yaoi fangirls were hoping to see in Gravitation and failed to get, is found in the Gravitation: Remixes, which is pretty much. VERY graphic scenes, threesomes, nonconsenusal, even incest ~__~ Ryuichi x Tatsuha, Shuichi x Eiri, and Eiri x pretty much everyone else. XD Murakami-sensei must have been on rabid crack when she drew the Remixes, and I love it!

I'm going to try my best to have some sample doujinshis scanlations here in the future. I will not be putting up the full doujinshis here as of the moment, since minors might accidentally wander in. ~__~
